


Working with Oxides Workshop
Workshop description:
This fun, comprehensive 4-hour workshop will focus on using oxide washes on textured clay in order to enhance the beauty of the texture on the fired piece. Members will have the opportunity to use oxide washes on the work they bring in. We will go over the glazing of pieces when oxide washes have been applied and methods of texturing will also be explored. Kiln and studio safety will be part of the conversation. As well, there will be a demonstration of texturing the clay with the use of found objects. Looking forward to seeing you there! Let’s have fun together! **Did I say Lindor chocolates!
Participants need to bring:
At least one bisque piece the size of a coffee mug.
Optional to bring an apron or just wear clothes that can get dirty as oxide can be messy.
Open to members only.
Saturday, March 29th, 11am-3pm.
Class is limited to 8 participants.
